Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Gets Release Date For PS4, Hits Xbox One, PC This September
It's a new year, and with a new year comes a new installment in Marvel's Spider-Man. The video game publisher and developer finally announced the release date for the title, as well as a slew of new games hitting the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
"From Spidey's rooftop skyscraping to his high-speed classroom-crashing skills, this is the definitive Spider-Man experience," Marvel said in the announcement. "Learn Spider-Man's moves and powers with dozens of unlockable combos and powers, then use them to take out some of the greatest villains ever to step foot in New York City."
Map and Player Spider-Man
Players will receive an updated Spider-Man: Homecoming map pack included in the game. The map pack will consist of Brooklyn's Flatiron Plaza, Times Square, and the Daily Bugle in addition to two new maps.
The two new maps can be unlocked in the Sandbox mode by tapping on a "Daily Bugle" banner. The game includes 40 hours of additional content, new costumes, and an extra playable character. There will also be new weapon upgrades, playable characters, and improved features for the game's Spider-Man gameplay mode.
The Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is only available for the PlayStation 4, and will be released on Sept. 7. The game will be available in a 4K, HDR, and 60fps version. The PlayStation 4 Pro is also enhanced with support for 4K HDR, along with faster frame rates and enhanced visual features.
Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 launches on Sept. 7 worldwide. Marvel's Spider-Man: Complete Edition, which includes the game and free updates, will also be available on Sept. 7.
However, if you can't wait for the new game, a handful of new games are hitting the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Some highlights include Atari's Puyo Puyo Tetris, Capcom's Mega Man 11, and Sniper Elite 4.
